I have friends who are in various postings in Europe fighting the war on terrorism. I pray for their safe return and for all who are brave enough to stand up for our freedom. It is with great pride that I am a proud Canadian knowing we are working closely with the Americans to stop the killing and mangling of men, women and children. May God Bless You All! Al Kempton

As a Canadian citizen I was moved deeply by the events of what took place last year with the attack on the American people. I happened to be home that day and watched as the tragedy unfolded on the television screen. Thank you. It is great to see the flags flying at your place of business in support of all North Americans. Peter T. Roth

As I got up to get ready for work this morning I turned on my TV and on every channel there was coverage of memorials for the one-year anniversary of Sept 11. It brought back all my memories of that day and I sat on my couch and cried. I am a Canadian and did not know anyone involved in this tragic event but I feel like I have lost something. Maybe it was my innocence. I never believed that something like this could happen in the world we live in today. But I believe the president and the mayor did a splendid job leading their city and country on the road to recovery. I believe that this day will forever live in our hearts along with all the heroes and sadly the people that lost their lives. I wish all the families of the victims love, peace, and happiness in the years to come. Sincerely, Mary.K Jay Set Associate

As I pause this day and reflect on things of this past year. I am very thankful for all my blessings and pray for those who lost loved ones. My heart aches for those little ones who will never know their fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, grandparents, friends. Stay strong take one day at a time and always if you find yourself overwhelmed ASK FOR HELP don't carry your burden with you. There are friends who are ready to lend an ear or a shoulder. GOD BLESS YOU! Anonymous

September 11 reminds me of love. Love that we have lost, shared, and have come to know. It was/is unconditional, not matter who you were. The terrorists had no idea that this would bring everyone so close together. It was/is a sad day never to be forgotten! A warm thanks to all those who helped out in America's time of need goes out to all from this Canadian. To the families I would like to say how sorry I am that this happened. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time as they were and have been since September 11, 2001. With Love Meranda Fitzgerald

Dear Mr. Nygård, I am very proud that Canada has such compassionate people as yourself. I am the wife of a firefighter and I cannot begin to imagine the pain I would be feeling today if such a tragedy fell upon me and my family. I am grief stricken for the many women and children who will never have the opportunity to tell their husbands and fathers how very much they love them. I firmly believe that when we feel such love for another, we should let them know for fear that tomorrow may never come. My prayers are with the American people and their families and also with our fellow Canadians. If we stick together I feel sure that God will see us through all the pain September 11 brought to not only the United States, but to the whole world. I am with you and yours in saying, God Bless America.
