The RUN 2002 raised more than $13M for BREAST CANCER RESEARCH & AWARENESS. Nygård donated the 'Run for the Cure' T-shirts for all participants across Canada!

With the distinctive 'I'm Running For' bib proudly pinned to their shirts, 130,000 Canadians across the country declared their motivation for participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure. The unofficial count for this year's campaign billed 'Who would you run for?' put the funds raised to date at more than $13M, with a projected final figure of $14M+!

While there is no cure for breast cancer yet & no definitive cause, the incredible amount raised this year will bring us that much closer to creating a future without breast cancer.  In 2002 an estimated 20,500 women will develop breast cancer & 5,400 will die from it.

The CIBC Run for the Cure is the CBCF's largest national fundraising event supporting the advancement of breast cancer research, education, diagnosis & treatment & marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in OCT.
