SURVIVORS &
VOLUNTEERS GATHERED IN TORONTO AT NYGÅRD HEADQUARTERS TO UNVEIL LIMITED EDITION BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR T-SHIRT & CREATE 300,000
PINK RIBBONS
Special T-shirts, supplied by NYGÅRD, enable breast cancer survivors to proudly identify themselves among the 160,000+ CIBC Run for the Cure participants

On SAT SEP13, @
the Nygård headquarters in Toronto, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) & hundreds of breast cancer survivors & volunteers, celebrated the introduction of a limited edition 'Breast Cancer Survivor T-shirt' produced by Nygård & created over 300,000 pink ribbons in support of the CBCF & CIBC Run for the Cure.
The Breast Cancer Survivor T-shirt, featuring the CBCF pink ribbon, will be distributed to 15,000 Canadian women & men who participate in The Run 2003 to be held at 39 sites across Canada on OCT5. The shirts will provide survivors with the chance to proudly identify themselves & dramatically show just how many people are affected by breast cancer. Nygård has also donated the T-shirts to be worn by all other Run participants. Since becoming a national sponsor of the Run for the Cure in 2001, Nygård has donated 500,000+ T-shirts for the participants
The 300,000 ribbons will be distributed to CBCF corporate partners & individual donors across Canada during OCT, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“I will wear the Nygård Breast Cancer Survivor T-shirt & pink ribbon with pride,” said Sarah Ray, a 24-year-old who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 & who has been in remission since JAN.
“I’m proud that I’ve won the battle & I know that others are too. Having 15,000 of us wearing the T-shirt on Run Day will be a dramatic demonstration of how many women are affected by breast cancer in Canada.”
